REGISTRATION CLOSED - Kristina Rado's Royal Icing Techniques

COST: $295/day; $825/3 days ($60 savings)

In these three single-day classes, renowned Italian royal-icing sugar artist Kristina Rado will teach students a variety of impressive royal-icing techniques. Kristina puts her own spin on the classics to create breathtaking works of sugar art.

DAY 1: Royal icing pressure-piped figures; piped flowers.

SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate to Advanced.

DAY 2: Colored figure piping with painted details; hand painting on cookies.

SKILL LEVEL: Beginner to Advanced.

DAY 3: Royal-Icing embroidered cake, using Kristina’s unique, finely detailed embroidery method.

SKILL LEVEL: Beginner to Advanced.

**Please note that due to renovation work involving our usual classroom in Edgewater, NJ, our classes have moved temporarily. Classes will return to Edgewater in June.**

Class will run from 9:00AM to 5:00PM daily, March 4-6, 2019 (Saturday-Monday), in Fort Lee, NJ. Address, directions, and public-transportation information will be sent via email upon acceptance into class. Parking is available. All materials will be provided. Light breakfast options, lunch, mid-afternoon snack, and beverages throughout the day are also included.

Blocks of guest suites have been reserved for out-of-town guests at the Homewood Suites in Edgewater, NJ. Complimentary hotel shuttle service is provided within a 3-mile radius of the hotel; additionally, transportation will be arranged to shuttle students between the hotel and the class. The Homewood Suites in Edgewater is conveniently located on the shores of the Hudson River directly across from upper Manhattan, and is easily accessible via the George Washington Bridge, Lincoln Tunnel, public bus transportation, or NY Waterways ferry (hotel offers complimentary shuttle service to and from the ferry terminal).

The hotel is located in an upscale modern commercial development with many shops, restaurants, and entertainment options just footsteps away. Parking is complimentary.

Kristina Rado is a multi-skilled Cake Designer, with particular expertise in the art of Royal Icing, edible painting, and sugar flowers.

Kristina is a Member of Team Excellence FIPGC, a member of the board of directors in charge of the organization of the World Championship of Cake Designers of FIPGC, judging worldwide during international selections.

Of Hungarian origin, Kristina lives and works in Rome. Most notably, she has attended many advanced master classes with Eddie Spence MBE to learn and perfect her work in the art of Royal Icing.

Kristina’s professional focus is now mainly as a consultant and teacher for both professional and amateur sugarcrafters. She teaches from her studio in Rome and travels internationally to teach at many prestigious sugarcraft schools. Kristina is the winner of several high-profile sugarcraft competition awards, including three gold medals and one first prize for her entries at Cake International (2013/2014/2018), and she was voted the winner of the Royal Icing Award at the 2014 Cake Masters Magazine Awards. She also acts as a judge at a variety of national and international cake competitions, and her work has been widely featured in many sugarcraft publications in print and online.
